Park for Tomorrow! Move your vehicle to the side of the road matching the Next Day’s date.
Odd dates (12:00 AM–6:00 PM): Park on the odd-numbered side of the street.
Even dates (12:00 AM–6:00 PM): Park on the even-numbered side of the street.
Why It Matters: Seasonal parking rules help keep streets clear for plows and sweepers, prevent flooding from clogged drains, and ensure safe access for emergency vehicles during snow season.
Begins 12:01 AM, November 1
Ends 11:59 PM, April 1
Plan ahead, park smart, and help keep Caledonia’s streets safe and clear!
For example, if it’s 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 and you plan to leave your car parked on the street overnight, you would need to park on the odd side of the street, so that at 12 a.m. on Nov. 21, you would be parked on the correct side.

To consider a proposed ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Caledonia. The principal provisions of the proposed amending ordinance can be summarized as follows:
1. Regulation of Short-Term Rentals. The proposed ordinance would add a new Section 3.44 to the Zoning Ordinance to allow short-term rentals within the Village, subject to compliance with the requirements in the new Section 3.44. The proposed requirements for short-term rentals would include compliance with permitted configurations of short-term rentals, the maximum number of short-term rental units per lot or parcel, parking, trash, other use restrictions, the maximum occupancy for a short-term rental, and compliance with applicable building codes, maintenance standards, and other Village ordinances. The new Section 3.44 would also provide an application, review and approval process for short-term rentals, require an annual zoning compliance permit to operate a short-term rental within the Village, and address violations regarding short-term rentals and the revocation procedure for a zoning compliance permit for a short-term rental.
2. Definitions. The proposed ordinance would amend the definitions in the Zoning Ordinance to add a new definition for a short-term rental. Short-term rental would mean a dwelling unit that is rented or is advertised to be rented for a period of less than thirty-one (31) consecutive days. It would also amend the definition of a bed and breakfast establishment to clarify that a bed and breakfast establishment does not include a short-term rental.
3. Districts. The ordinance would amend the AG Agricultural-Residential District, the R-1 Low Density Single Family, District, the R-2 Medium Density Single Family District, the R-3 Medium Density Multiple Family District, and the R-4 High Density Multiple Family District to permit short-term rentals in compliance with the new Section 3.44.
The proposed amending ordinance is on file at the Village Hall and may be reviewed, or a copy obtained, during Village office hours.
